The documentaryCicadas, by Emiliano Mancuso and Federico Romano, has been selected for the annual film festival “L’Italia che non si vede” organized by UCCA – Arci.
Cinema of reality returned to facing with the Italy’s major social issues. It has become explicitly and proudly political. Even when they refer to the past, the themes are characterized by urgency and necessity. They are the result of a social and cultural climate that is brutalizing public discourse.
