Martino Lombezzi

Born in Genoa in 1977. Raised in Milan, he lives and works in Bologna.
In the editorial field he cooperates with the main national and international magazines, with portrait and
reportage commissions. He is involved in corporate productions for major clients in various fields,
including Consorzio Grana Padano, Assicurazioni Generali, Fedrigoni, Fondazione Altagamma, Stone
Island, SEA, Metroweb, many of which became books and publications.
His documentary projects focus on contemporary society and its landscapes, and the themes of memory
and identity. He worked in Italy, the Balkans and the Middle East.
He exhibited his works in different venues:
“Crepe”, about the earthquake in L’Aquila, was shown during “Reportage Atri Festival” in Atri and
“Domestic” in Barcelona.
“Una giornata estiva” about the survivors of the 1980 Bologna Station massacre, was shown during the
30th anniversary in the main hall of Sala Borsa, Bologna and toured many Italian cities and the European
Parliament in Bruxelles.
“Remains. Traces of World War II”, solo exhibition, History Festival, Bologna.
“Blue Line. The border between Lebanon and Israel” shortlisted at “Aftermath project 2013“ and
screened at “Les Rencontres – Arles”.

In 2015 he produced the documentary “Rapido 904 – the Christmas massacre”, on the mafia attack of 23 December 1984: the film was screened in various Italian festivals, and won the first prize “Filmare la
storia” by the National Cinematographic Archive of the Resistance.
Since 2017 he has been working on “Resolution 808”, a large project on the legacy of the Hague Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia created in partnership with journalist Jorie Horsthuis. Resolution 808 became
an exhibition, shown at the Atrium Cityhall (The Hague, Holland), Rovinj Photodays Festival (Rovigno, Croatia), Diplomacy Festival (Rome, Italy), Human Rights Nights Festival (Forlì, Italy), it has been
selected by “New Visions – Cortona on the Move 2018”, “Athens Photo festival”, “GRIN 2018” and widely published in Italy, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Croatia.
